Raksha Mantri’s award for “Best Performing Shipyard” for 2006-07. The inaugural award, which was constituted in the year 2005-06, was also awarded to GSL.	Raksha Mantri’s award for “Best Design Effort- NOPV” for 2006-07


Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Award for the year 2007-08 by the Hon’ble President of India Smt. Pratibhadevi Patil on 14 September 2009. GSL secured first position in the C region category for its outstanding performance in the use of Hindi in the official work.	"Indira Gandhi Rajbhasha Award 2008-09" on 14 September 2010 for securing third position in the C region category for its outstanding performance in the use of Hindi in the official work

	P.M. Johri, General Manager (P&A) GSL, receives Indira Super Achievers Award on 27th March 2010 at Indore for his significant contributions in the field of Industrial Relations during 2009-10. This award was received from Mrs. Tarita Shankar, Chairperson of Indira Group , Pune.		Three GSL employees have been conferred with National Award in the 44th All India Level Hindi Typing Competitions.

	Smt Regina Dourado of GSL's Commercial Dept bagged the first prize while Kumari Lina Parulekar of Production Dept and Shri Shekhar Badatya of Medical Dept were awarded Second and Third Prizes respectively.

	"Performance Excellence Award" from Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering for the year 2008 & 2009.
	Late Shri Manikant Hiralal Shah Memorial CSR gold medal for 2009 for Best Workplace Practices.
	Goa Chamber of Commerce Award, State Govt. and Green Triangle Society for having Best Workplace HR Practices.
	Rajbhasha Mani Award shield by Bhartiya Bhasha & Sanskriti Kendra, Delhi.
	Rajbhasha Patrika Award organized by Bhartiya Sanskriti Sansthan, Delhi.
	Vishesh Rajbhasha rolling shield, by Town Official Language Implementation Committee, South Goa for the year 2008-09 as well as for the year 2009-10.
